Troy's Take

HERS in Oregon is some of the best sushi in the Madison area, and people will drive out of town for it. I also think it is the best ramen around Madison. No offense, but Madison ramen is usually mid, and this miso broth was incredible.

Started with Flame Kiss: spicy crab wrapped in salmon with sauce in the bowl that had perfect kick. Then chicken and vegetable gyoza, pan-seared the way gyoza should be. Both were amazing.

Wife's miso ramen was phenomenal. Father-in-law's tonkatsu ramen was really good too. I got the HERS roll (spicy salmon) and a dragon roll with a sweet glaze that hit every time. Spice on the HERS roll was perfect, not overkill.

Ambiance is cool, green walls, big mural, patio outside. Staff was incredibly nice, which matches the reviews. Left thinking this is one of my favorite sushi spots in the area. If you have not been, this is your sign.
