Finca Coffee

Madison isn't exactly famous for breakfast burritos, which is why Finca Coffee in Fitchburg caught my attention so quickly. Coming from Texas, where breakfast burritos are basically their own food group, I've been looking for a Wisconsin spot that can match them.

Finca is a coffee shop that goes way beyond coffee. Their Salvadoran-inspired menu has pupusas, tacos, burritos, and their signature Salvadoran quesadilla. I tried three of those dishes, and I can confidently say the food deserves just as much attention as the coffee.

The breakfast burrito was my favorite, packed with sausage, bacon, eggs, peppers, and cheese, plus a huge crunch of perfectly crispy bacon. The Salvadoran quesadilla was the surprise standout, rich, buttery, and slightly sweet like really good cornbread. The pork pupusa was solid too, I'd just rank it behind the other two.

One heads up: I was told my takeout order would take 15 minutes and it took closer to 40 to 45. If you're not in a time crunch, Finca is a genuinely worthwhile stop for breakfast, lunch, or coffee. Go check them out on Rimrock Road.
