Troy's Take
You can only get into this Wisconsin speakeasy by typing the password on a typewriter. That is what unlocks the door. The Back Door is Milwaukee's newest speakeasy and it was awesome.
Classic speakeasy vibes. Dark, dim, private and intimate, with bartenders who actually know what they are doing. Get a reservation. There are a few walk in tables, but good luck.
Cocktails run about $18 to $20. I had their fall Old Fashioned made with gin, which was good, and then the Cream City Velvet. Might be my favorite cocktail in a very long time. Light, packed with flavor, not too sugary.
Best speakeasy I have been to in Wisconsin so far. Sign the wall on your way out.
