The review
Troy's Take
I finally went to Momo Mee. This little spot in Walker's Point absolutely throws down when it comes to noodles and dumplings, and one dish in particular stole the entire meal for me. I am still thinking about it.
The Szechuan spicy wontons come tossed in an amazing chili oil and peppercorn sauce that was spicy, savory and a little numbing. I could have eaten just the sauce with a spoon. The pan-seared potstickers were massive and looked incredible, but the flavor did not hit the way I wanted. Not bad, just not my favorite thing we ate.
The Dan Dan noodles were the winner. The spice was right where I wanted it, the noodles had great texture, and every bite gave me something different. I told myself I was not going to finish the whole thing, then ate roughly 95 percent of it. The miso ramen was also really good, and underneath all that heat the broth, noodles and pork were still fantastic.
I still have not found my favorite ramen in Wisconsin, so I am not ready to crown Momo Mee for that category. But the Dan Dan noodles? Those can get a trophy. Go with a group, share a bunch of dishes, and get there early if you do not want to wait.
