Troy's Take
Some places live up to the hype. Glorioso's somehow exceeds it. It's part Italian grocery store, part deli, part bakery, part wine shop, and they do all of it ridiculously well.
The Italian beef was unreal. The bread was ridiculously soft, they loaded it with beef, and every bite tasted like quality ingredients. I've had plenty of Italian beef around Wisconsin and this one jumped near the top of my list. The Napoleon was light, flaky and creamy, and I wasn't sharing much of it.
All three cannolis were excellent. I'd rank them chocolate-dipped first, classic second, tiramisu third. The tiramisu filling had a great coffee flavor, but the chocolate-dipped was on another level: huge, fresh, dangerously easy to eat.
People don't just stop here for lunch, they build entire dinners around it. Fresh bread, homemade pasta, meats, desserts, wine. By the end I was sitting in my car thinking this was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time.
