Troy's Take

If you are not familiar with Forage Kitchen, it is a healthier place. Bowls, wraps, salads, you name it. And every time I eat something healthy I have to balance it out with something sweet.

The Fiesta Bowl has organic black rice, southwest salsa, poblano cabbage slaw, mild cheddar, black bean dip, cilantro, and tortilla strips. Mix it all together. It is packed.

This is the only place I have ever had black rice and every time I think, damn, I should make this at home. Love the crunch of the tortilla strips. So much flavor in every bite.

With added chicken it was about $14 after tax and it is a big bowl. One of my favorite healthier things to eat. The Fiesta Bowl absolutely slaps.

Good to know

  • Get the Fiesta Bowl and add diced chicken. With the protein it was about $14 after tax.
  • It is a big bowl. You do not need to size up.
  • Grab the oatmeal cookie on the way out. Oatmeal cookies are underrated. Also on State Street and in Hilldale.
