Marie's Soul Food is a tiny spot off Monroe Street. She liked one of my reviews, I stalked her profile, the wings looked incredible, and I immediately reached out.

Hot honey lemon pepper wings. I do not think I have ever smelled a wing this good. Meat falls right off the bone, slight crunch on the outside, and a sauce I could drink.

Mac and cheese is cheesy with a consistent black pepper hint. The sweet potatoes taste like candied sweet potatoes, soft and melt in your mouth.

That specific wing and flavor gets a 9.2 from me. About $18 for wings and two sides. Black owned and woman owned. Go show Marie some love.
