Marie's Soul Food
Marie's Soul Food has some of the most slept on wings in Madison (9.2)
1637 Monroe St, Madison, WI
These are some of the best looking wings I have ever seen in my entire life, and honestly some of the best smelling wings too. I stopped at this little tiny restaurant in Madison off Monroe Street called Marie's Soul Food. She liked one of my reviews, I stalked her profile, the wings looked incredible, and I immediately reached out and said I have to try your wings.

What I ordered
An order of their hot honey lemon pepper wings, their sweet potatoes, and a side of their mac and cheese. I did not look at the price per wing, sorry about that, but I spent 18 bucks for the wings and both sides.
My thoughts on the food
Oh my god. I do not know if you saw how easily that fell off the bone. That flavor. These are some of the most slept on wings, and I am disappointed in everybody in Madison for not mentioning them. Not actually disappointed, but how are these not some of the most known wings in the city. The meat keeps coming right off, there is a slight crunch on the outside, and I could drink that sauce. My mouth was a mess for the rest of the video and I did not care.
Marie's mac and cheese is cheesy, with this consistent black pepper hint. It could just be black pepper, but it feels like there is something else in there too. Then sweet potato time. It tastes like candied sweet potatoes. Soft, melts in your mouth, and that sweetness just simmers on your tongue. Wow. Yes.
The vibe
This place is tiny. You walk in and there are maybe three or four tables. Nothing crazy, nothing fancy, just people who actually care about cooking food.
The verdict
That specific wing in that specific flavor gets a 9.2 from me. I have not tried their other wings yet, so this is just off the hot honey lemon pepper. That entire meal was delicious. What an incredible lunch, and some of the most underrated wings I have had in my entire life. If you are reading this, run it up and go show love and support for Marie.
