Troy's Take
I genuinely had no idea this place existed, and honestly I'm kind of mad nobody told me sooner. I went out for one of their Pizza on the Farm nights expecting decent pizza and a nice view. Instead I found one of the coolest summer spots anywhere around Madison.
The first thing that stood out was the space. A huge restored barn, wide open fields, cornhole, picnic blankets across the grass, and a sprinkler that had my son completely soaked by the end of the night. It feels like someone invited you over for the perfect Wisconsin summer evening.
The pizza surprised me. The crust had a great wood-fired flavor with the right amount of crisp on the edges. If I had one critique, I'd have liked the center cooked a little longer, but it was still delicious and the ingredient quality comes through: dough from Angelo's in Black Earth, sauce from Maria's Pizza in Oregon, Wisconsin cheeses, and vegetables from the farm.
By the time we left, everyone was smiling and I was already looking at the calendar for the next one. That's usually a good sign.
