Pikkito's rotisserie chicken fell right off the bone
610 Junction Rd #107, Madison, WI
This is supposedly the best Peruvian food you can get in the Madison area, and today we are reviewing Pikkito. It is in Madison, honestly more like Middleton, off Junction Road. It has always intrigued me because I work right next to it and never knew what it was.

What I ordered
Quarter chicken with two sides for $14.99, which I think is pretty standard. I got cilantro rice and French fries. It is in a little strip mall, so it has that classic strip mall restaurant feel with bar seating and a counter to pay.
My thoughts on the food
Fries always get tasted first. Standard fries. Two sauces came with it and I had no clue what either was. The green one is like a cilantro ranch and it is actually pretty good. The yellow one, ooh, that has a kick. I poured both on everything.
Cilantro rice tastes like fresh rice. Love it. Then the chicken fell right off the bone. I should have gotten that on video. I do not eat a lot of rotisserie chicken unless it is from Costco, so I do not have a ton to compare it to, but it was delicious. Very moist, easy to chew, cooked perfectly. Everyone knows the skin is the best part, and that skin is incredible. I went barbarian style in the car, immediately regretted it, and switched to a knife. Cut it up, put it in the rice, and that combination is really good.
The verdict
Great lunch. I loved that it was simple and not over the top. At the end of the day it is rotisserie chicken, and when the skin is off chicken is chicken, but this tastes really good and they have a ton of other Peruvian specials too. Being right next to my office, I am coming back a lot more. Pikkito off Junction Road, closer to Middleton. Go check it out.
