Mars Resort near Lake Geneva lived up to the supper club hype

W4098 S Shore Dr, Lake Geneva, WI

This is one of the most popular supper clubs in the entire state of Wisconsin, and it had such an incredible vibe. This is Mars Resort out by Lake Geneva, right on Lake Como. I can not tell you how many times this place was recommended to me, so we made the trip.

The vibe

Vibes were on point. Classic supper club vibes where it is a dark room, dim lights, lower ceilings and a really intimate feeling. My wife got some wine, and of course I had to get an Old Fashioned, because what are you doing at a supper club if you are not getting one.

What we ordered

  • Old Fashioned and a glass of wine
  • Duck strips (the waitress recommended them)
  • Fish fry with clam chowder
  • Steak for my wife
  • Warm chocolate cake

My thoughts on the food

For the appetizer we went with what the waitress recommended, the duck strips. They are fried duck strips that you dip in this sauce and just go to town. That sauce was so good.

My wife got a steak, but I did not get any video of it because I am an idiot. It was great. I went with the fish fry and it was absolutely incredible, with some clam chowder on the side. The plate was massive and I walked out of there miserably stuffed.

But what is a dinner without dessert? You know how I am with sweets. We got the chocolate cake and it was so warm when it came out. My wife and I were blown away. It kind of pieced together the entire meal.

The verdict

In my opinion, Mars Resort lived up to the hype. If you are going to Lake Como or Lake Geneva or you are in the area, I definitely think this is a place you should go. However, on a busier night or a beautiful night, good luck getting in.
