Daylene's Supper Club

I wanna let you know exactly what we thought of Daylene's Supper Club out in the Dells.

Real quickly, we stayed at the treehouses right next door. Quiet, comfortable, clean, modern, peaceful. You almost felt like even though you were in the Dells, you were a little outside of it in a more comforting, relaxing spot. My wife and I absolutely loved it. Now back to the food.

The vibe

We sat at the bar while waiting for our table and got an espresso martini that was great. Big beautiful bar in the middle of the room, windows that wrap around the entire area, and a patio that is absolutely gorgeous. It was pouring rain when we went so we sat inside in a large open room that had more of your classic supper club feel.

What we ordered

Appetizers were the cheese curds and the cheesesteak egg rolls. We also got their clam chowder. For entrees I got the scallops and crispy pork belly, and my wife got the filet mignon. Dessert was the butterscotch pudding.

My thoughts on the food

My wife was born and raised in Wisconsin and said these are some of the best cheese curds she's ever had. Lightly breaded Carr Valley Cheese, which is one of the best in the state. Taste, melted cheese, and breading all came together really well.

Cheesesteak egg rolls had an incredible amount of flavor. My wife wasn't the biggest fan, but she also hates Philly cheesesteak. I thought they tasted amazing.

The clam chowder was unbelievable. So much flavor packed in that little bowl. This is one of the things they're actually famous for, and it shows.

The scallops and crispy pork belly stole the show. Fat on the pork belly seared on the bottom, sitting on carrot puree. Every bite melted in your mouth. I'm not even kidding, you didn't have to chew. Scallops perfectly seared on both sides. Salty but lightly sweet from that puree. Best pork belly I've ever had.

The filet was really good too. You can tell they use quality meat, which matters.

Butterscotch pudding for dessert was light, airy, fluffy, and came with white chocolate pieces.

The verdict

Overall this place was awesome. Everything from the food to the service to the vibe to the experience, plus the treehouses right next door. If you want a Dells trip done right, go treehouses to Daylene's. I will 100% be back. It was dope.
