Oh this looks like a damn good burger. I heard Badger Tavern is one of the most consistent burgers in the Madison area. People say they always have a good burger. In my opinion it's also one of the best bars in Madison. Great dive bar.
Badger Tavern off Seminole Highway. You walk in, classic Wisconsin bar, pull tabs, beer, people whipping up food behind the bar. Great spot overall.

What I ordered
Bacon cheeseburger, $13. Bacon, pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapenos. Cooked medium.
My thoughts on the food
Bun is soft and this looks delicious. That bacon is so good. Very salty bacon, and I love salt. 100% yes. Definitely better than many of the burgers I've reviewed so far.
Really, really good bar burger. Bacon's got very crispy ends. You can see the char. If you like a little spice, get this exact order.
I would 100% add this to my top 5 burgers in Madison list. They season their patty, which a lot of places miss. Lots of flavor, good amount of salt, great crunch on that bacon. Pickled jalapenos over fresh any day of the week on a burger.
The verdict
Badger Tavern off Seminole. Amazing job. That was delicious. Also one of the best bars, so if you have not been there you're missing out. Definitely go try it and let me know what you think.
