Nano Sweet Cafe

This is a crepe. That is a massive crepe. We just visited one of the most slept on coffee shops and cafes in the Madison area, Nano Sweet Cafe on Mineral Point Road. This place was recommended to me by somebody on TikTok, so thank you for that.

The vibe

This is one of those places where it is not fancy at all. Everything is just made with love, and there is so much passion that goes into it. The owner is Nessreen. Look up her story, it is pretty incredible. She was so nice, and you can tell she cares deeply about the stuff she makes. It is still pretty new, and on Saturday mornings they also have savory pastries.

• Biscoff tiramisu

My thoughts on the food

They are known for their tiramisu, their crepes and all of their Dubai combinations. The crepe had bananas and strawberries, and all their crepes have chocolate in them. When you get the Dubai version, there is pistachio and these little crunchy things that almost look like tiny noodles or rice grains. I am a softer crunch ratio kind of guy, and there are a lot of those in there, but they add the perfect amount of crunchy texture. It was 9 in the morning and this is what I was eating. Two thumbs up.

Next, the Chocolate Dubai cheesecake. All this Dubai stuff is trendy right now, and I have actually never had a Dubai chocolate bar. The bottom crust is crunchy and the top has a thick chocolate layer, which I love. To be honest, I was not sure what to think after the first bite. The second bite hit the spot. That is really good.

Last but certainly not least, the Biscoff tiramisu. If you look at the reviews, they supposedly have the best tiramisu around. It has layers. It is creamy, packed with flavor and has your perfect tiramisu texture.

The verdict

All of this was so good. Nano Sweet Cafe is a place made with real love, and it deserves a lot more people walking through the door. Go check it out on Mineral Point Road and let me know what you order.
