Mexli

I have seen this pink little building off the Beltline many times and always wondered how it was. Mexli Mexican Breakfast. Somewhat new, big open area to eat. I went for the breakfast burrito.

What I ordered

The three meat breakfast burrito. Crispy bacon, ham, and Mexican sausage, with eggs and cheese. Sixteen dollars, which seemed absolutely insane at first. They also have a chorizo burrito with refried beans, cheese, egg, avocado, and chorizo that I almost got instead.

My thoughts on the food

This thing is massive. Best looking breakfast burrito I have seen in Madison so far. Juicy, filled with meat, phenomenal cheese pull. I got hot sauce with it because honestly every breakfast burrito needs hot sauce.

This is good. Love the tortilla. Definitely greasy, getting grease all over me. I almost think there is too much meat in here, and I do not know how that is even a complaint. Bacon is really thick. Hot sauce is actually pretty spicy and keeps getting spicier.

Sixteen bucks for a breakfast burrito still seems absurd, but in their defense it is a massive breakfast burrito. I do wish I had tried the chorizo one with refried beans, because I love refried beans in a burrito. Still, they recommended this one and it was pretty good.

The vibe

Pink building, parking lot energy, I literally ate it in the parking lot. Easy Beltline stop when you are craving a breakfast burrito.
