Gyro Guyz
Gyro Guyz has my favorite gyro bowl in Madison, and lunch is only $8
707 S Gammon Rd, Madison, WI
We are trying what is supposedly one of the best gyro spots in the entire city of Madison. Gyro Guyz on South Gammon Road. There is some seating to the right when you walk in, and this food looks and smells absolutely incredible.

What I ordered
Loaded fries with gyro meat and cheese on top, and a gyro rice bowl, lunch portion. I got the bowl with white sauce and two stripes of the extra extra hot spicy sauce. Their lunch bowls are only $8, which is an absolute steal. The loaded fries were $13, but that plate is massive. It can feed two or three people.
My thoughts on the food
Started with the loaded fries because they were right in my face. Wow, that gyro meat is good. Mixed with that cheese, it is delicious. It is a flavor bomb. The white sauce, the meat, the cheese, that is just a perfect combination of flavor.
Then the gyro rice bowl. There is actually rice under there, believe it or not. I cannot believe the lunch portion is this big. The red sauce has a kick, the white sauce is great, the rice is great, and the meat is great. It is the same meat that is on the fries. This is a massive plate and it is not doing it justice on camera. Best gyro bowl I have had so far.
The pita bread tastes like your standard run of the mill pita, and the falafel was just okay. Neither one was bad by any means, so do not take that as a negative. They just were not the star.
The vibe
I never really make it out to this area, but there are so many cool little restaurants and shops around it. There is an India house right next door and I think I saw a Mexican bakery too. So many spots over there that deserve way more attention than they get.
The verdict
I cannot speak any higher of this place if I tried. This bowl and these loaded fries were so delicious, and the value is incredible. This is definitely one of those hidden gem spots where if you have not gone, you need to go try it out. My belly is a happy boy. Gyro Guyz, go check it out.
